English as an Additional Language Teacher (HSP: Ages 14-17) (both sessions)

TASIS American School Switzerland seeks an EAL teacher for the High School Program (ages 14-17) in Mendrisio. The seasonal role runs from June 16 to August 10, 2026, covering both summer sessions.

The company is looking for an educator to join the TASIS High School Program, which serves students aged 14 to 17. The position covers the entire summer period from June 16 through August 10, 2026, including both program sessions. Daily classes are held in the mornings with a focus on enhancing student fluency and confidence in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a complete teaching schedule five days each week.
• Supervise or lead afternoon sports and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and colleagues.
• Participate in special evening events and other program activities.
• Chaperone weekend student excursions across Switzerland, France, and Italy, including potential overnight trips.
• Provide full-day supervision on student arrival and departure days.
• Manage student records and follow all guidelines outlined in the Staff Handbook.
• Be present for the entire duration of the first summer session.
• Assume additional administrative or program duties as directed by the Summer Programs Director.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Have prior experience teaching at the secondary school level.
• Demonstrate experience in teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Show previous experience leading or chaperoning student activities.
• Possess a valid passport from an EU member state.
