English as an Additional Language Teacher (HSP: Ages 14–17) (first session only)

TASIS American School Switzerland seeks an EAL teacher for the High School Program (ages 14–17) in Mendrisio. This seasonal onsite role runs from June 16 to July 16, 2026, focusing on student fluency and confidence.

The company is looking for an educator to join the High School Program for the first session of 2026. The position targets students aged 14–17, with morning classes dedicated to enhancing language fluency and self-assurance. The role requires a full-time commitment during the session period.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a complete teaching schedule five days each week.
• Facilitate or supervise afternoon sports and extracurricular activities.
• Coordinate with parents, students, and colleagues as needed.
• Participate in special evening events and other scheduled activities.
• Supervise student trips across Switzerland, France, and Italy, including potential overnight excursions on weekends.
• Be present on campus throughout the day on student arrival and departure dates.
• Manage student records and follow all guidelines outlined in the Staff Handbook.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Have prior experience teaching at the secondary school level.
• Demonstrate background in teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Show experience supervising or leading student activities, such as camps or after-school programs.
• Possess a valid passport from an EU member state.
