Anavia seeks a Senior Enterprise Applications Specialist in Näfels, CH, to manage engineering systems, optimize tool portfolios, and lead technical integrations for PLM, CAD, and ERP platforms.

This position serves as a strategic advisor to Engineering and IT leadership, aligning application strategies with business goals. The specialist defines the engineering applications roadmap and acts as the primary technical owner for system administration, integration, and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the application portfolio roadmap, including lifecycle oversight and performance tracking.
  • Drive tool standardization and consolidation efforts to eliminate redundancy and boost operational efficiency.
  • Oversee vendor partnerships, software licensing, and cost-control measures across the technology stack.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate automation and AI/ML solutions into the development roadmap.
  • Serve as the technical lead for engineering applications, handling configuration, administration, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Maintain PLM, CAD, and related platforms, including server infrastructure, databases, and application layers.
  • Configure workflows, business rules, and lifecycles to support engineering and manufacturing operations.
  • Manage user access, roles, and security policies in compliance with data classification and export control standards.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations while minimizing operational downtime.
  • Establish and maintain integrations between PLM, CAD, and ERP systems to ensure BOM synchronization and data traceability.
  • Facilitate data exchange with manufacturing execution systems and requirements management tools.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts for data migration and system interfaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least three years of experience in enterprise applications, engineering systems, or similar technical domains.
  • Minimum of two years of direct support for engineering environments, including PLM, CAD, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated history of hands-on system administration and integration within aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Must hold Swiss or EU nationality.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in the German language.
  • Experience in tool portfolio management, vendor negotiations, and license optimization.
  • Proven background supporting engineering organizations in product development settings.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and advanced analytics.
