Technical Purchaser

Anavia seeks a Senior Technical Purchaser in Näfels, CH, to manage the procurement of components and services for UAV and aviation systems, ensuring supply chain efficiency and supplier quality.

The company is looking for a Senior Technical Purchaser based in Näfels to oversee the acquisition of technical components, materials, and services essential for UAV and aviation systems. This position plays a critical role in balancing cost optimization with supply chain reliability while supporting engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase technical parts, assemblies, raw materials, and external services.
• Request, assess, and negotiate quotes from potential suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
• Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and lead times to ensure timely availability.
• Provide input on make-or-buy decisions to optimize operations.
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments to align procurement with project needs.
• Update and maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data in the ERP system.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
• Assist Engineering with sourcing technical suppliers and managing procurement tasks.
• Ensure material availability for Production and Operations teams.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
• Support engineering change management processes, including material phase-ins and phase-outs.

Requirements

• Technical or commercial education, with a preference for a technical background.
• Proven experience in technical purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong proficiency in using ERP systems.
• Fluent written and spoken skills in both German and English.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
• Knowledge of standard procurement and supply chain processes.
• Familiarity with quality requirements and documentation practices in regulated industries.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and specifications.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the UAV, aerospace, aviation, electronics, or high-tech sectors.
• Additional language skills beyond German and English.
