Arxada seeks a Buyer and Material Planer in Visp to manage procurement operations, optimize inventory via SAP, and coordinate supplier relationships for site activities.
The company is looking for a professional to oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle in Visp. This position serves as the primary connection between internal teams and external vendors, focusing on streamlining the Purchase-to-Pay workflow and enhancing operational efficiency through better inventory management and process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete operational procurement cycle, serving as the central contact for Purchase-to-Pay tasks.
- Handle Material Requirements Planning (MRP) within SAP to maintain ideal stock levels, including adjusting disposition parameters.
- Align internal demands with the procurement of technical items, spare components, and necessary services.
- Process and monitor payment transactions related to purchasing activities to ensure timely completion.
- Track essential purchasing metrics, such as GR/IR accounts, open orders, cash flow, and order confirmations.
- Develop and manage contracts in the ERP system alongside strategic procurement colleagues.
- Assist the procurement team with ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least five years of background in procurement, business administration, sales, or a technical commercial field.
- Solid understanding of ERP platforms, particularly SAP, along with strong skills in MS Office applications like Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional-level fluency in both German and English.
