Operational Buyer (7024)

CTC Resourcing Solutions AG seeks an Operational Buyer in Visp to support Small Molecules procurement within the Central Supply Chain Team, ensuring reliable material availability and supplier performance.

This position is embedded within the Central Supply Chain Team, specifically supporting Small Molecules Operations. The primary purpose of the role is to guarantee the smooth execution of daily procurement tasks and supply chain activities, ensuring that materials are available when needed for production.

Responsibilities

• Track supplier metrics and share insights with Strategic Buyers and Category Managers.
• Lead initiatives to enhance supplier delivery, quality, and compliance standards.
• Handle escalations regarding shipping problems, pricing errors, MRP adjustments, and delivery delays.
• Keep SAP master data for materials and vendors accurate to ensure reliable MRP runs.
• Assist in qualifying, onboarding, and implementing changes for new suppliers.
• Work closely with the Visp-based Supply Chain group to prevent material shortages.
• Process vendor returns, including RMAs, replacements, and cost recovery.
• Fix Accounts Payable invoice discrepancies with suppliers.
• Hold regular meetings with suppliers to review open purchase orders.
• Help onboard and approve new raw materials and supplier accounts.
• Take part in RFx processes and competitive sourcing events.
• Provide negotiation support to Strategic Buyers for low-value contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated background as an Operational Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or in a similar purchasing role.
• Extensive experience in purchasing raw materials.
• Proficient knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP platform.
• Fluency in both English and German is required.
