Tactical Buyer (w/m/d)

Axpo is seeking a Tactical Buyer in Zürich for a full-time, on-site role. The position focuses on market analysis, supplier negotiations, and contract management to ensure efficient procurement.

This position is responsible for analyzing the procurement market and leading supplier negotiations independently. The role also requires working closely with internal teams to guarantee that purchasing activities are both efficient and cost-effective.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the procurement market and independently conduct negotiations with suppliers
• Conduct calls for bids (RfX), select and evaluate the most suitable bidders, including communication and clarification of inquiries
• Contract finalization and implementation in systems/SAP, including creation and management of orders
• Monitor delivery dates, reminder management, and processing of returns and complaints
• Review and optimize service contracts for marketability and compliance with procurement guidelines
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and economical procurement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in procurement, business administration, or a related field
• Experience in operational purchasing and solid knowledge of P2P and RfX processes
• Proficient use of procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua) and MS Office
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Very good German and English skills

Nice to have

• Certifications in procurement processes (e.g., CIPS Level 2/3)
