Buyer

Saab Bofors Dynamics Switzerland Ltd seeks a Mid-level Buyer to manage procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and develop supplier partnerships for materials and services.

The company is looking for a Procurement Specialist to oversee sourcing activities, build strong relationships with vendors, and contribute to strategic purchasing decisions. This position focuses on managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for both indirect materials and service contracts.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement workflows of medium complexity for various materials and services.
• Direct the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for indirect goods and service agreements.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial conditions, and delivery timelines with vendors.
• Oversee purchase order execution and monitor supplier performance metrics.
• Assist with contract administration tasks and manage renewal cycles.
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses to inform sourcing strategies.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Production, Engineering, Finance, and Facilities.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and lead continuous improvement efforts.
• Source and qualify new suppliers to expand the vendor base.
• Manage procurement activities specifically related to Facilities services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Procurement and Supply Chain management.
• Strong abilities in negotiation and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Background in contract management.
• Familiarity with Strategic Sourcing methodologies and TCO analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, TOTVS, IFS, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of procurement KPIs including savings, lead time, supplier performance, and SLAs.
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
• Advanced level of English language proficiency.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Facilities procurement.
