Supply Chain Officer - Purchasing

Escatec Switzerland AG seeks a Supply Chain Officer - Purchasing to manage procurement, inventory, and vendor relations for high-grade electronics manufacturing.

The company is looking for a professional to coordinate supply chain activities, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of goods. The role focuses on maintaining smooth operations, minimizing costs, and ensuring proper inventory control in alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials based on ERP system needs.
• Analyze stock replenishment impacts to prevent excessive inventory.
• Create purchase orders and update confirmations from vendors.
• Verify delivery confirmations for all released orders.
• Monitor and expedite outstanding orders and delivery schedules.
• Communicate with vendors regarding rejected parts and replacement timelines.
• Review purchase orders for data adequacy and specified requirements.
• Update costing for customer consigned parts.
• Collaborate with CPE on purchase data updates and revisions.
• Interface with customers or KAE regarding consigned materials.
• Declare material liability claims for order cancellations or deferments.
• Organize material and part flow according to the production plan.
• Plan subcontracting jobs and obtain quotations for new projects.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (QMS & LN).
• Perform routine supply chain tasks and maintain accurate ERP data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Solid understanding of inventory management and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong negotiation skills with individuals at all levels.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
• Self-organized, structured, independent, and self-motivated.

Nice to have

• Experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as BaaN, SAP, or inforLN.
