The company seeks a Senior Consultant for Business Consulting in Supply Chain Procurement, based in Zurich, Lausanne, or Geneva. The role focuses on driving digital procurement transformation and supporting CPOs in complex, data-driven environments.
The company is looking for a Senior Consultant to help organizations navigate company-wide transformation programs. This position involves guiding clients from strategy and concept development through to implementation, with a specific focus on modernizing procurement functions in a digital and data-driven business landscape.
Responsibilities
- Assist Chief Procurement Officers in modernizing their procurement departments to handle digital, data-centric, and fast-changing market conditions.
- Collaborate with clients to create and roll out forward-thinking procurement strategies while establishing themselves as trusted advisors.
- Lead digital transformation projects within procurement, aiming to achieve tangible results such as cost reductions, efficiency improvements, and greater supply chain resilience.
- Utilize cutting-edge tools like AI, advanced analytics, automation, and digital Source-to-Pay platforms to speed up and enhance transformation results.
- Play a central role in client projects, gradually taking ownership of specific workstreams and operating within cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to the firm's internal knowledge base and practice concepts, while also nurturing professional relationships both inside and outside the organization.
- Develop expertise in management consulting and procurement to support client success and advance personal career growth.
Requirements
- Prior experience in procurement, gained either through management consulting or industry roles, involving complex and high-impact project delivery.
- Two to five years of hands-on experience in procurement strategy, category management, operating model design, supplier management, supplier innovation, and source-to-pay processes.
- A strong passion for digital technologies and their use in procurement, preferably backed by some practical application experience.
- Fluent command of the English language.
Nice to have
- Experience leading small teams within a project setting.
- Knowledge of procurement software such as SAP Ariba, Zycus, Archlet, ORO Labs, Zip, Omnea, or Fairmarkit.
- Fluency in German.
- Fluency in French.
