CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer (6959)

CTC Resourcing Solutions AG seeks a Senior CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer in Visp, CH, for a contract, onsite role. The position requires 10+ years in procurement, including 5 in category management, with expertise in CSA and CIPS certification. Candidates must hold a Swiss/EU citizenship or Swiss working/residency permit and have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering.

This role focuses on driving procurement strategy and execution for CAPEX projects, aligning supply market capabilities with business needs. It involves leading vendor selection, negotiating major agreements, managing supplier relationships, and implementing cost-saving and risk mitigation strategies across projects and global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFx processes and vendor selection during early project phases and execution
• Identify short- and long-term business needs by building relationships with internal collaborators
• Develop and implement category strategies for Construction Services Agreements (CSA) aligned with market capabilities and business goals
• Ensure coordination of goals, actions, and priorities within Procurement and with Global Engineering and other stakeholders
• Create cost reduction strategies and implementation plans with key partners
• Lead change management initiatives to shift traditional spending habits and boost efficiency
• Oversee supplier relationship management and supplier development efforts
• Monitor and improve supplier performance, compliance, and accountability using scorecards and metrics
• Serve as the main contact for customer concerns beyond the project level
• Address partner issues in collaboration with Contracts and Claims managers
• Design supply risk management plans and execute risk mitigation actions
• Partner with Project Procurement teams to adapt category strategies into project execution plans
• Negotiate Construction Services Agreements and Framework Agreements with vendors
• Plan, lead, and finalize negotiations for commercial terms and contracts covering framework, master, and other major supply agreements

Requirements

• Must hold a Swiss/EU citizenship or Swiss working/residency permit
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Civil Engineering
• Strong technical knowledge in Civil Engineering and Construction
• Minimum 10 years in procurement, including at least 5 years in Category Management
• Proven track record in developing and executing sourcing strategies with measurable outcomes
• Experience in CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) category management
• CIPS certification is mandatory
• Fluent in English and at least B2 level in German

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Management is advantageous
• Prior experience in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, food, or cosmetics is preferred
