CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer - CSA

CTC Resourcing Solutions AG seeks a Senior CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer in Visp to lead CSA category strategy, vendor selection, and contract negotiations for civil engineering projects.

This position focuses on aligning procurement activities with broader business strategies by identifying both immediate and long-term needs. The role is central to executing RFx processes and selecting vendors during the early stages and throughout project lifecycles, ensuring that supply capabilities match operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute category strategies for Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) work, ensuring they align with available supply market capabilities.
• Coordinate priorities and actions between the Procurement department, Global Engineering teams, and other internal stakeholders.
• Create and roll out cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with key partners.
• Champion change management efforts to shift traditional spending habits and boost overall productivity.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive development programs to enhance performance.
• Monitor supplier compliance and accountability using defined metrics and scorecards.
• Serve as the main escalation point for project-related issues or customer concerns.
• Collaborate with Contracts and Claims managers to resolve partner disputes or issues.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to protect project continuity.
• Convert high-level category strategies into actionable execution plans alongside Project Procurement teams.
• Negotiate Construction Services Agreements and Framework Agreements with external vendors.
• Lead the commercial negotiation and contracting process for major supply agreements.

Requirements

• Valid Swiss residency permit or Swiss/EU citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Civil Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of Civil Engineering and construction practices.
• Over 10 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in Category Management.
• Specific experience managing CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) categories.
• Holding a CIPS certification.
• Fluent English and at least B2 level proficiency in German.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Management.
• Prior experience working in regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, or cosmetics.
• Proven track record of developing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
