Lonza seeks a Senior Material Requirement Planner in Visp to ensure material availability for the supply plan. The role requires CPIM certification, SAP expertise, and fluency in German or English.

This position is primarily office-based, with the option to work remotely for up to 20% of the time. The core purpose of the role is to guarantee that materials are available on time to support the overall product Supply Plan.

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee that materials are available on schedule to support the product Supply Plan.
  • Collaborate with key departments to keep material plans current and accurate.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing inventory strategies.
  • Transform planned orders into material plans, including Purchase Requisitions and BANF.
  • Work closely with Material Project Leads to maintain up-to-date material plans.
  • Establish and update detailed material planning parameters within planning systems.
  • Convert material requirements, such as purchase requisitions, into formal Purchase Orders.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inbound teams to expedite material availability.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials.
  • Implement actions to reduce scrap and waste, including mobilization or write-offs.
  • Create safety stock and inventory plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Address supplier-related inquiries in cooperation with Operational Buyers.
  • Monitor, report, and facilitate the on-time availability of materials.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience as a Material Requirement Planner.
  • Possession of a valid CPIM certification.
  • Proven experience in SCM, Materials Planning/Scheduling, and/or Purchasing.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP (particularly MM module) and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI).
  • Fluency in either German or English.
