Accelleron Industries seeks a Production & Material Planner (80-100%) in Baden, Switzerland, to manage material availability and production scheduling for the Medium-/Low-Speed Division. The role requires experience in manufacturing planning, ERP systems, and strong analytical and communication skills in German and English.

This position supports the Medium- / Low-Speed Division in Baden by planning material availability to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. The planner reports to the Team Leader of Logistics & Operational Purchasing and contributes to regional operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Assess demand and convert it into short-term supply plans to fulfill customer needs.
  • Contribute to IBP and short-term planning, flagging unresolved issues and evaluating plan feasibility.
  • Develop master production schedules and assembly plans based on demand forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Balance production workloads through load leveling to maintain efficiency.
  • Provide precise delivery commitments to customer service teams.
  • Coordinate material availability with production schedules to ensure continuous supply from internal and external sources.
  • Monitor and adjust stock levels to meet optimal inventory targets and avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Review excess and obsolete inventory and carry out scrapping when necessary.
  • Work with stakeholders to improve inventory performance through targeted actions.
  • Set and maintain inventory parameters in ERP and planning systems, including safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times, and replenishment methods.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and resolve operational issues.
  • Implement DCR decisions while minimizing impact on inventory obsolescence.
  • Suggest and apply process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Anticipate supply chain risks such as material shortages or transport delays and prepare contingency plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in material or production planning, inventory control, purchasing, or a related role in manufacturing.
  • Strong skills in MRP and ERP systems, including SAP, GIB, EWM, Felios, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to resolve unexpected issues quickly and collaboratively with a focus on solutions.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in data analysis, especially in MS Excel, with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation abilities for cross-team coordination.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
  • Further education relevant to the field is preferred.
