Material Planner

Groupe Danone Switzerland seeks a Material Planner to manage production supply chains, maintain stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers within a centralized, multinational environment.

This position is tasked with overseeing Danone's internal controls as directed by the Internal Controller. The role ensures that material availability aligns with production goals while managing supplier relationships and planning parameters.

Responsibilities

• Generate and update purchase orders to satisfy manufacturing demands.
• Monitor inventory levels against targets, considering minimum and economic order quantities.
• Regularly compare demand forecasts with supply capabilities to identify and report potential shortages.
• Track contracted volumes to ensure proper allocation from suppliers.
• Share demand forecasts with suppliers when necessary.
• Set and update planning parameters within the SAP MRP system.
• Assist the Inbound Material Manager and MRP Planner in preparing monthly MRP submissions.
• Help develop short, medium, and long-term business plans and contingency strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships and track key performance indicators.
• Keep supplier contact details current.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Contribute to sourcing initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the food sector.
• Proven experience in material or production planning is essential.
• Solid understanding of MRP principles and hands-on experience with integrated ERP systems.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• A relevant tertiary education qualification.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with SAP is beneficial but not mandatory.
