Flight Technician

Anavia seeks a Senior Flight Technician in Näfels, CH, to handle aircraft assembly, maintenance, and flight support operations with a focus on safety and documentation.

This position is responsible for the complete lifecycle support of aircraft systems, including assembly, repair, and operational readiness. The technician works autonomously to ensure all ground support equipment and payloads are prepared for missions, while providing direct assistance to remote pilots during flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sub-assembly, final assembly, and repair work on aircraft, payloads, and related components.
• Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks at the headquarters location and during international deployments.
• Conduct inspections, installations, removals, replacements, and functional testing of subsystems and ground support equipment.
• Support pre-flight and post-flight inspections, system preparation, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare and maintain aircraft, Ground Control Stations, data transmission systems, and payloads for flight missions.
• Assist remote pilots and manage ground movements during flight operations.
• Ensure full traceability and documentation of all tasks performed.
• Comply with safety standards, internal quality protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain all GSE in operational condition.
• Perform fault diagnosis and support root cause analysis.
• Act as a technician instructor for internal and/or external training sessions.
• Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Completed technical education in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as an aircraft technician.
• Proven understanding of aircraft assembly, system integration, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with technical test equipment.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of operational risk management practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and documentation tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
