Anavia seeks a Mid-level Electronics / Avionics Technician in Bilten, CH, to handle fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of integrated systems and prototypes.
This position focuses on the electrical and electro-mechanical aspects of product development, specifically supporting the prototype phase. The technician will be responsible for building low-volume assemblies, conducting rigorous system tests, and ensuring all hardware meets regulatory standards before project milestones.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble low-volume electrical and electro-mechanical components during the prototype stage.
- Execute system testing procedures to verify functionality and adherence to relevant regulations.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various shop equipment, including hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, and 3D printers.
- Document build techniques and processes to ensure smooth handover and equipment readiness.
- Participate in project meetings to review schedules, design updates, and hardware status.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to solve assembly issues and refine manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory and machine shop environment for all staff.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and quality protocols throughout the assembly workflow.
- Meet project deadlines, including tight schedules for hardware delivery.
Requirements
- Completion of a technical education program.
- At least three years of experience in a comparable technical role.
- Strong proficiency in soldering, stripping, crimping, and applying heat shrink, including work with cable shields (foil and braid).
- Demonstrated experience with PCBA and wire harness assembly.
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and written work instructions.
- Familiarity with specialized crimping tools for circular and specialty connectors.
- Experience working within ESD-sensitive environments.
- Knowledge of battery handling, charging, and associated safety procedures.
- Expertise in assembling complex electronic enclosures and working with high-density PCBAs and miniature connectors.
- Experience using PLM systems for component tracking and revision control.
- Strong oral and written English skills.
- Must be a citizen of Switzerland or the EU.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications in electronics or cable assembly, such as IPC 610, J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- Proficiency in the German language.
