Electrician

Jet Aviation seeks a Mid-level Electrician in Basel to install and test aircraft interior electrical systems, ensuring precision and safety in a dynamic aviation environment.

This position focuses on the installation and testing of complex electrical systems during the aircraft interior outfitting process. The role is designed to support the company's long-term expansion in Basel, with anticipated growth opportunities emerging from late 2026 or 2027.

Responsibilities

• Install and connect cabin electrical components strictly following engineering drawings and 2D/3D schematics.
• Construct and assemble wiring systems for aircraft interiors, including manufacturing wire looms and terminations.
• Route wires, install connectors, perform connection checks, and troubleshoot issues in workshops, jigs, or directly on aircraft.
• Execute wiring modifications on existing systems in accordance with Manufacturer Service Bulletins or specific modification packages.
• Install shielding, terminal boards, circuit breaker panels, and specialized connectors.
• Select appropriate tools, materials, and hardware to meet quality standards and job requirements.
• Conduct functional tests on electrical systems to identify and resolve defects.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and report any irregularities or issues.
• Ensure all tasks are completed with high quality and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an electrician or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional experience, preferably within the aviation or automotive industries.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and engineering drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in using various electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Good command of English, at least at the B1 level.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OEM standards from manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream, or Dassault, including Service Bulletins and AMM tasks.
• Knowledge of German or French languages.
