AMAC Aerospace seeks a B2 EASA Licensed Avionics Engineer for on-site work in Basel. The role focuses on certifying maintenance tasks for Boeing aircraft within a 145 organization.
This position places the engineer in a multifaceted and responsible capacity within an exclusive operational environment. The primary purpose is to serve as certifying staff for an AMAC 145 maintenance organization, ensuring all avionics systems meet regulatory standards while supporting customers during AOG situations away from the home base.
Responsibilities
- Serve as authorized certifying staff within the AMAC 145 maintenance framework.
- Execute both routine and non-routine task cards as required.
- Carry out related operational duties to support daily functions.
- Diagnose, repair, inspect, and rectify flight-related issues.
- Document and perform all work strictly according to applicable manuals and regulations.
- Coordinate with internal 145 MRO and Part 21 PO shops to resolve maintenance matters.
- Travel to customer locations to provide support during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
Requirements
- Possess a valid European EASA Part-66 Category B2 license.
- Have at least five years of practical experience in base maintenance.
- Demonstrate 2-3 years of experience as Certifying Staff on Boeing types including B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, or B787.
- Show a minimum of three years of experience as Certifying Staff on a specific aircraft type.
- Exhibit advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Communicate fluently in English.
