This position is for an Executive Housekeeper (Gouvernante) in a luxury hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland. The role supports the hotel’s reputation for excellence by overseeing housekeeping operations in a prestigious, intimate property located in one of Switzerland’s most exclusive destinations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team including Room Attendants, Laundry Staff, and Floor Staff.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in suites, residences, and shared spaces.
• Coordinate and manage the work of housekeeping staff across the property.
• Inspect guest rooms and suites before and after guest stays.
• Manage inventory, bedding, cleaning carts, minibars, and equipment.
• Plan staff schedules according to occupancy levels.
• Train housekeeping teams on operational procedures and service standards.
• Respond professionally to unexpected issues or guest needs.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through consistent, high-quality service.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to align housekeeping efforts.

Requirements

• Higher education in hotel management, with a focus on accommodation services.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality.
• Fluency in both French and English.
• Strong general knowledge and interpersonal abilities.
• Highly organized, dynamic, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently with full autonomy.
• Clear understanding of expectations for high-net-worth clients.
• Skill in prioritizing tasks and handling urgent guest requests.
• Flexible and adaptable to customer needs.
