Julius Bär seeks a Fund Analyst for its Traditional Funds team in Zürich. The role focuses on analyzing, recommending, and monitoring active and passive long-only UCITS funds for global clients.
This position sits within the Fund Offering competence center, supporting the traditional funds team that handles recommendations for active and passive long-only liquid funds. The team serves internal advisory and discretionary clients worldwide, ensuring high-quality fund selection and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, recommend, and monitor managers and funds for the bank’s client base.
- Specialize in the selection of traditional long-only equity funds and their managers.
- Create content for recommended funds and perform quality control on fund offering materials.
- Assist in promoting and positioning covered funds within the organization.
- Support fund inquiries, educational initiatives, and internal fund projects.
- Collect, process, and manage fund data and related documentation.
- Manage the product pipeline and develop new ideas by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fund or manager selection and monitoring.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities with a technical background in fund due diligence.
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as Morningstar, Bloomberg, or Style Research.
- High attention to detail, multitasking capability, and strict quality standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of the financial and fund industries.
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Expert-level proficiency in MS-Excel.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of additional languages.
- Advanced technical skills in Morningstar, including Presentation Studio and Notebook functionalities.
- Programming or quantitative skills in VBA, R, Matlab, or similar tools.
