Consultant, Fund Accounting (Alternatives)

Northern Trust AG in Basel seeks a mid-level Consultant for Fund Accounting focusing on alternative products, supporting institutional clients with reporting, data processing, and client liaison.

This position sits within the Fund Accounting department and is dedicated to supporting alternative investment products. The team provides essential services to institutional clients such as pension funds, banks, and investment foundations.

Responsibilities

• Manage reporting and administrative tasks for investors and limited partners.
• Process capital call and distribution notices for limited partners.
• Establish and verify static data using notices and investment memos.
• Address client inquiries and maintain regular communication with asset managers and internal or external stakeholders.
• Onboard new products and implement updated processes and workflows.
• Handle quarterly data processing, reporting, and deadline tracking.
• Deliver reports tailored to specific client needs.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A solid aptitude for numerical data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in German is mandatory.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and work independently.
• Capacity to manage multiple competing deadlines efficiently.
• Interest in fund administration and middle-office operations.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications.
