The company seeks a mid-level specialist to handle German tax compliance, investor reporting, and operational tax procedures for private equity and real estate funds.
The private markets tax team is expanding its operational capabilities to cover both technical and operational tax aspects. This role supports the team in managing tax compliance, reporting, and structuring for various fund products.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and review annual German tax returns prepared by external advisors and arrange investor tax reporting.
- Gather necessary data for annual German tax reporting for fund products alongside external service providers.
- Support ongoing German tax matters for private equity and real estate funds, including tax due diligence, structuring, and investor tax provisions.
- Provide assistance with ongoing Swiss and Austrian investor tax reporting.
- Develop and manage operational tax procedures and internal controls.
- Evaluate changes in international and domestic tax regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
- Lead ad hoc tax projects and processes as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's in tax, finance, or accounting.
- 2-3 years of practical experience in international tax, ideally from a BIG 4 firm or a well-known tax consulting company.
- Solid understanding of international tax, especially fund structuring, asset management, investment fund distributions, and investor tax reporting.
- Strong analytical abilities and capacity to handle multiple priorities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Fluent English is required.
- Strong communication skills, assertive, confident, and trustworthy.
