Regulatory & Transactional Tax Specialist

The company seeks a mid-level Regulatory & Transactional Tax Specialist in Zurich to manage tax reporting, ensure compliance, and support stakeholders in a collaborative, agile environment.

This position involves working within an established team responsible for regulatory reporting and tax services in Zurich. The role focuses on delivering high-quality tax support to internal and external stakeholders while collaborating with IT and business units to resolve operational challenges and drive project success.

Responsibilities

• Track, file, and submit reports for various withholding and transaction taxes, such as Swiss turnover tax, domestic and international withholding taxes, and financial transaction taxes.
• Organize and oversee the yearly AIA/CRS reporting process to guarantee precise and punctual adherence to regulations.
• Examine and answer questions regarding Transaction Tax and CRS from various bank departments and external clients, offering expert guidance and practical solutions.
• Keep track of regulatory changes and work with IT specialists to apply necessary technical and procedural adjustments.
• Serve as a trusted department representative in cross-functional projects and process improvement efforts related to regulatory reporting and transaction tax.
• Work towards common objectives including regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• A university degree in banking, finance, or business administration, combined with multiple years of relevant experience in the financial sector.
• Extensive background in Swiss and international Transaction Taxation is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proactive attitude, strong organizational capabilities, and a sense of accountability.
• Strong analytical thinking, a solution-oriented mindset, and the capacity to operate autonomously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a proven track record of effective teamwork.
• Fluency in both German and English is required.
