Vontobel seeks a Mid-level Avaloq Developer - Parametrization Specialist for Regulatory Reporting in Zurich. The role involves configuring the Avaloq core banking system for transaction and regulatory reporting under Swiss and European laws, collaborating with IT and business teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
This position is part of the Reporting Services Team within Vontobel’s Operation Services Department. It supports the bank-wide platform projects and contributes to maintaining and expanding the Avaloq core banking system, with a focus on regulatory reporting. The role works closely with IT and business colleagues to achieve shared goals in compliance, efficiency, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Configure the Avaloq system for transaction and regulatory reporting in compliance with Swiss and European legislation.
- Handle additional reporting tasks in Avaloq, including derivative reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with business experts to analyze requirements, implement new regulations, and introduce process improvements.
- Participate in solution design, programming, parametrization, and testing to ensure reliable regulatory services and support bank-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to goals such as regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, quality, efficiency, and smooth operations.
- Show interest in Artificial Intelligence and be open to using AI-powered tools in daily work.
Requirements
- Several years of software engineering experience in banking and finance.
- Proven experience in Avaloq parametrization and a commitment to ongoing learning in this field.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German are required.
- Strong teamwork abilities and a proactive attitude toward personal development and ownership of tasks.
- Analytical thinking, a solution-focused approach, and the ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- Initial experience with regulatory transaction reporting frameworks such as FinfraG, MiFID II, EMIR, or trading-related knowledge (STEX).
- Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and a drive to gain technical expertise in regulatory reporting.
