Vontobel seeks a Mid-level Avaloq Developer - Parameterization Specialist for Payment Operations in Zurich. The role involves managing Avaloq development and payment processing, contributing to the core banking system Avaloron, with a focus on Payment, FX, and Fiduciary functions.

This position is part of the Transaction Banking unit within the Operation Services Department at Vontobel. It supports the maintenance and expansion of the core banking system Avaloron, focusing on payment operations and driving innovation and operational excellence in Avaloq development.

Responsibilities

• Handle parameterization in the Avaloq core banking system, primarily for Payment, with additional involvement in FX and Fiduciary areas.
• Collaborate with specialists and business analysts to advance developments, introducing innovations that improve client satisfaction, quality, efficiency, and operational smoothness.
• Participate in solution design, programming, parameterization, and testing to ensure business-critical services remain available and support bank-wide platform initiatives.
• Work alongside business specialists within the Transaction Banking unit and Operation Services department.

Requirements

• Several years of software engineering experience in the banking and finance sector.
• Proven experience in Avaloq parameterization and a commitment to ongoing learning in this domain.
• Very good communication skills in both English and German are required.
• Strong teamwork abilities and a willingness to take ownership of your work and personal development.
• Solid analytical skills, a solution-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently.
