Senior Banking Systems Integration Engineer

Bank J Safra Sarasin seeks a Senior Banking Systems Integration Engineer in Basel to design scalable Avaloq-based integration solutions and support real-time messaging infrastructure.

This position sits at the center of the bank’s digital transformation efforts, focusing on creating seamless integration solutions that enhance client experiences through innovative technology.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain high-performance services on the Avaloq Container Platform Reference (ACPR/Openshift).
• Engineer reliable integration frameworks using the Avaloq Business Event Grid (BEG).
• Participate in strategic projects involving bi-directional, real-time message streaming via Kafka.
• Troubleshoot and fix complex integration challenges across various channels.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and release management teams to ensure solution quality from design through deployment.
• Assist in testing campaigns and system rollouts.

Requirements

• A university degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of hands-on experience in system integration within the banking sector.
• Proven experience working with Avaloq technologies.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• An Avaloq Academy Professional Certification, such as the Avaloq Certified Integration Professional (ACIP).
• Familiarity with Openshift, OpenAPI, Apache Kafka, or .NET.
