The company seeks a Mid-level Investor US tax reporting specialist in Pfäffikon, CH, to expand operational tax capabilities within an international team.
The private markets tax team is growing its operational tax functions, covering both technical and operational areas. This position operates within a multicultural setting inside a successful alternative investment management group.
Responsibilities
- Support the yearly US tax compliance workflow, including coordinating and reviewing returns prepared by outside advisors, and handling investor tax reporting.
- Gather necessary data for annual US tax reporting for the firm's products, working alongside external service providers.
- Offer assistance with ongoing US tax issues related to private equity and real estate funds.
- Create and supervise operational tax procedures and internal controls.
- Evaluate updates in international and domestic tax regulations and assess their effect on the organization.
- Lead ad hoc tax projects and processes as needed.
Requirements
- Hold a strong academic foundation, preferably a Master's degree in tax, finance, or accounting.
- Possess 2 to 3 years of practical experience in international tax, ideally from a BIG 4 firm or a well-known tax consulting agency.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of international tax, especially regarding fund structuring, asset management, investment fund distributions, and investor tax reporting.
- Show strong analytical abilities and the capacity to handle various priorities simultaneously.
- Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Maintain a proactive, solution-focused attitude with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Work well in a team, be self-motivated, and capable of independent work.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Exhibit good communication skills, being assertive, confident, and trustworthy.
