The company is seeking a Tax Operations Associate to strengthen its private markets tax team in Pfäffikon, Switzerland. The role focuses on expanding operational tax capabilities, managing compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and supporting fund structuring and investor reporting.
The private markets tax team at the company is growing its operational tax functions to cover both technical and day-to-day operational needs. This position supports the expansion by handling compliance, reporting, and tax structuring for private equity and real estate funds across several countries.
Responsibilities
- Help manage the yearly tax compliance workflow for various countries, including Luxembourg, France, Australia, Ireland, and Switzerland. This involves checking tax returns from external advisors and organizing investor tax reports.
- Support FATCA and CRS (AEOI) tasks, such as submitting annual AEOI reports and reviewing W-8/W-9 forms.
- Assist with ongoing EU tax issues for private equity and real estate funds. This includes helping investment teams with tax due diligence and structuring, and supporting investor teams with related tax provisions.
- Create and manage operational tax procedures and internal controls.
- Evaluate changes in international and domestic tax laws and assess their effect on the organization.
- Handle ad hoc tax projects and processes as needed.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s in tax, finance, or accounting. An L.L.M. or equivalent is highly valued.
- Possess at least five years of practical experience in international tax, ideally gained at a BIG 4 firm or a well-known tax consulting company.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of international tax, especially regarding fund structuring, asset management, investment fund distributions, and investor tax reporting.
- Show strong analytical abilities and the capacity to handle multiple, diverse priorities.
- Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Maintain a proactive, solution-oriented approach with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be a collaborative team player who is self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, assertiveness, confidence, and trustworthiness.
