(Senior) Consultant - Business Consulting - Finance

The company seeks a mid-level consultant for its Business Consulting Finance division in Zürich. The position focuses on corporate transformation, digital finance, and global business services within an international, hybrid work environment.

This position sits within the Business Consulting Finance team, where the consultant will help drive corporate transformation, digital finance initiatives, and global business services. The role requires supporting large-scale transformation programs from initial strategy through to operational implementation, while designing finance operating models and digital capabilities. Consultants will work in international, cross-functional teams to deliver projects using modern project management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing organization-wide transformation programs, covering both strategic planning and operational execution.
• Design finance operating models, processes, and next-generation digital finance capabilities.
• Apply advanced project management methodologies to ensure project success.
• Collaborate within international teams on cross-functional projects, including global business transformations and process roll-outs.
• Conduct benchmark analyses to optimize group structures and evaluate operating and governance models.
• Leverage daily consulting insights to improve consulting approaches and support the creation of professional articles or conference presentations.
• Participate in shaping company culture and contribute to internal team development initiatives.

Requirements

• Completed business-related studies with excellent academic results.
• Initial practical experience gained through internships, working student roles, or finance/project positions in consulting or corporate settings.
• Basic understanding of the CFO function within an organization.
• High motivation and willingness to grow in a mentor-oriented culture, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong teamwork skills and enjoyment of working in an inclusive environment.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Strong analytical abilities and a foundational understanding of business metrics.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel, along with an interest in modern tools like MURAL or Power BI.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Practical experience in GBS/SSC, Financial Planning & Analysis, Reporting, Cost Accounting, or Financial Performance Management.
• Additional languages beyond English.
