General Accountant & Internal Control (Fixed-Term Contract)

Roger Dubuis seeks a General Accountant & Internal Control specialist for a fixed-term role in Meyrin. The position focuses on financial closing, internal audits, and process improvement within an international setting.

This position supports the Finance team by managing accounting activities across multiple legal entities. The role is central to strengthening internal controls, enhancing process efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of accurate financial data.

Responsibilities

• Record accounting entries in line with established principles, Group policies, and strict deadlines.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures for various legal entities, including balance sheets and financial statements.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger reviews, and analytical checks to guarantee data accuracy.
• Assist in preparing statutory reports and management accounts.
• Execute first-level internal control reviews across different legal entities.
• Detect accounting and operational risks and help implement necessary corrective measures.
• Guide Finance teams on accounting procedures and internal control standards.
• Maintain a strong control environment by adhering to Group policies.
• Identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes and support Finance transformation initiatives.
• Prepare audit documentation, coordinate with auditors, and track the implementation of recommendations.
• Review Travel & Entertainment expenses to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate on cross-functional Finance projects to meet departmental goals.

Requirements

• Federal Diploma in Finance & Accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in General Accounting, preferably in an international or multinational context.
• Deep understanding of General Accounting, financial closing cycles, and Internal Control.
• Demonstrated history of managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Proficiency in SAP FI/CO and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Fluent French and a good command of English.
