The company is seeking an Internal Control Intern to join its Europe finance team in Meyrin, Switzerland. The 6-month role focuses on compliance, risk management, and process improvement within a luxury industry setting.
This internship supports the Europe Region finance team by addressing growing compliance and internal control needs. The intern will work under the Senior Internal Control Specialist Europe, based at the Campus Genevois de Haute Horlogerie in Meyrin, Geneva, for a six-month term starting between September and February.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update risk and control matrices, conduct testing, and generate reports for the Group.
- Evaluate system access permissions and segregation of duties, implementing necessary safeguards.
- Oversee and assist with annual inventory counts for warehouses and wholesale stock.
- Assist management with special projects designed to enhance compliance across local and European internal control teams.
- Create or guide the documentation of processes, procedures, and user manuals.
- Drive digitalization and continuous improvement by building automation and reporting tools to enhance control design and efficiency.
- Facilitate communication within the Europe Internal Control community by managing the dedicated SharePoint site.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Business or Engineering, with a strong interest in internal control.
- Proficient in data manipulation using Excel, Power Query/BI, and VBA, with an understanding of how master data management affects daily operations.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork, proactivity, enthusiasm, and a drive for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Exhibits keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and observance in all tasks.
- Capable of understanding broader contexts and summarizing complex information.
- Possesses strong organizational abilities, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively based on team feedback.
