Regional Internal Control Manager Europe

The company seeks a Senior Regional Internal Control Manager for Europe based in Meyrin, CH. The role focuses on compliance, internal control coordination, and process harmonization across European markets.

This position serves as the primary Internal Control System (ICS) leader for the regional managing company and acts as the central coordinator for all internal control activities across European markets. The role supports the growing compliance demands by aligning operations with Group guidelines and driving business development projects throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and revise risk matrices, conduct follow-up testing, and deliver comprehensive reports to the Group headquarters.
  • Evaluate system access permissions and segregation of duties, implementing necessary risk mitigations.
  • Serve as the main liaison for external audit firms, managing preparation and response processes.
  • Oversee and organize semi-annual inventory counts.
  • Assist leadership with special projects designed to enhance overall compliance standards.
  • Create or advise on documentation standards for processes, procedures, and user manuals.
  • Facilitate clear information flow by managing the European Finance Intranet and related digital platforms.
  • Lead and engage the regional Retail Financial Back Office (RFBO) subject matter expert community.
  • Drive the standardization and harmonization of operational processes across the region.
  • Organize and lead regional process audits.
  • Promote the exchange of internal control best practices throughout the European territory.
  • Plan and execute internal control reviews in various markets to verify ongoing compliance.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Finance or a closely related discipline.
  • Prior professional experience working within a Big 4 accounting or consulting firm.
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Fluent proficiency in both English and French.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with emerging data analytics platforms, specifically Celonis.
  • Understanding of retail and wholesale operational practices.
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory frameworks across European nations.
  • Active engagement with luxury sector trends and evolving retail models.
  • Background in audit functions.
