Global Product Specialist - Dry type transformers (mainstream)

The company seeks a Senior Global Product Specialist for dry-type transformers to manage the product portfolio, conduct market analysis, and support new product development. This remote role is based in Zurich, CH.

In this position, the specialist assists the global product manager with the dry-type transformer portfolio. The role involves performing detailed market and segment analysis, evaluating technical needs, and helping to shape the development of advanced products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market and segment data to spot trends and determine their effect on the transformer lineup.
• Review technical needs and compare against competitors to find gaps and ways to improve products.
• Keep technical specifications current for existing items to maintain market relevance and value.
• Drive performance improvements by benchmarking and using quality feedback for dry-type transformers.
• Maintain adherence to international rules and industry standards across the entire product lifecycle.
• Help create new products by turning market needs into clear inputs for the roadmap and technical specs.
• Create and share technical materials to aid product launches and improve market positioning.
• Design and lead training sessions to give cross-functional teams up-to-date product knowledge and market insights.

• Follow all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in R&D, product or technology development, or engineering focused on dry-type transformers or a similar energy industry role.
• Deep technical knowledge of dry-type transformers, energy solutions, and industry technologies.
• Demonstrated skill in conducting market analysis and competitive assessments to guide product development.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and handle multiple projects at once.
• Fluent proficiency in English.
