The company seeks a mid-level caregiver for a full-time, on-site role in Zürich. The position combines household support with direct patient care, including medication administration and documentation.
This position is responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness within the care facility while assisting the team with daily household duties and meal preparation. The role also involves providing direct patient care, documenting health progress, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility
- Assisting with meal preparation and general household duties
- Providing basic and treatment care to patients
- Supporting patients with mobilization
- Administering medication as prescribed by medical professionals
- Accompanying patients in their daily routines
- Documenting patient progress accurately
- Identifying and reporting changes in patient health status
- Communicating empathetically with patients, relatives, and interdisciplinary teams
- Sharing relevant information clearly and understandably
Requirements
- Completed training in nursing or healthcare (e.g., nurse or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of professional experience in direct patient or clinical care
- Strong communication skills and empathy when interacting with patients
- Ability to work independently and manage care needs effectively
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Familiarity with care documentation and care planning
- Reliability in shift work, including evenings, weekends, and nights
- Physical and mental resilience with a high sense of responsibility
- Basic knowledge of hygiene standards and safety regulations
- Very good knowledge of German
Nice to have
- Experience in inpatient or outpatient nursing home care
- Familiarity with digital care documentation systems or patient management software
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across different locations
- Additional languages are an advantage
