Weidmann Group seeks a Head of Group Accounting in Rapperswil SG to lead global consolidation, IFRS reporting, and ESG frameworks while managing the Corporate Accounting team.
This position reports directly to the CFO of Weidmann Holding AG. The role is responsible for overseeing all group-level accounting and reporting duties, guaranteeing financial accuracy, regulatory adherence, and transparency throughout the entire organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete group consolidation workflow to produce precise, timely, and compliant consolidated financial statements for all global entities.
- Direct the creation and publication of the Group Annual Report by collaborating with internal business units, corporate functions, and external audit partners.
- Establish and roll out group-wide ESG reporting structures, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and compliance with regulations such as CSRD and GRI.
- Introduce top-tier corporate accounting standards to refine existing processes, systems, and operational tools.
- Serve as the main liaison for external auditors and regulatory bodies regarding all group accounting inquiries.
- Mentor, develop, and lead the Corporate Accounting team, establishing high standards for performance and quality.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Extensive professional experience in senior corporate accounting or group reporting positions within an international setting.
- Strong proficiency in group consolidation, IFRS financial reporting, statutory annual report preparation, and ESG disclosures.
- Fluent command of the English language.
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent credential.
- Prior experience within a mid-sized industrial enterprise or a Big 4 audit firm.
- German language skills, which are highly valued given the Swiss headquarters location.
- Practical experience with AI applications in finance and accounting, or a strong willingness to acquire these skills quickly.
