Weidmann Medical Technology seeks a Head of Group Accounting to lead consolidation, IFRS reporting, and ESG frameworks in Rapperswil SG. This senior role reports to the CFO and manages the corporate accounting team.
The company is looking for a senior leader to take full ownership of group-level accounting and reporting obligations. This position ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and transparency across the entire Weidmann Group, reporting directly to the CFO of Weidmann Holding AG.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete group consolidation process to deliver accurate and compliant consolidated financial statements for all global entities.
- Oversee the preparation and publication of the Group Annual Report, coordinating with internal business units, corporate functions, and external auditors.
- Develop and implement group-wide ESG reporting frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulations such as CSRD and GRI while supporting sustainability goals.
- Introduce best-in-class corporate accounting practices to refine processes, systems, and tools used by the group.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and regulators regarding all group accounting matters.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Corporate Accounting team, establishing high standards for performance and quality.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in senior corporate accounting or group reporting roles within an international setting.
- Strong expertise in group consolidation, IFRS financial reporting, and the preparation of statutory annual reports and ESG disclosures.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience in a mid-size industrial company or a Big 4 audit firm.
- German language skills.
- Practical experience with AI in finance and accounting, or a strong eagerness to adopt these technologies quickly.
