Head of Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance

Liebherr seeks an Executive to lead Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) across IT, OT, and Product Security in Bulle, CH. The role focuses on strategy, risk management, and integrating AI into GRC processes.

This executive position oversees Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) across IT, OT, and Product Security domains. The role is responsible for driving innovation by embedding artificial intelligence and intelligent automation into core GRC workflows while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage dedicated GRC teams.
• Create and execute the overall GRC strategy and framework.
• Conduct information security risk assessments to pinpoint threats and vulnerabilities.
• Establish and enforce policies to mitigate cyber risks.
• Track and report on regulatory and standard compliance at a strategic level.
• Oversee employee awareness and training initiatives.
• Partner with business units to maintain compliance standards.
• Support the development of the AI governance framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Cybersecurity Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in GRC roles, with three or more years in leadership positions.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Deep knowledge of GRC frameworks and methodologies.
• Expertise in managing information security policies.
• Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards.
• Strong skills in assessing and managing information security risks.
• Practical understanding of applying generative and agentic AI to enhance and automate GRC, along with knowledge of AI governance and risk frameworks.
• An innovative mindset with a track record of modernizing and improving processes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in German and French is advantageous.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, ITIL, or COBIT are preferred.
