Home Office Construction Engineer

Casale seeks a Senior Home Office Construction Engineer in Lugano to oversee construction planning and execution for large-scale industrial projects, acting as a technical liaison across departments.

This position provides technical leadership for construction activities throughout the project lifecycle, from initial proposals to final execution. The engineer serves as a key interface between the Construction Department and other teams, ensuring construction considerations are properly integrated into project delivery. The role reports directly to the Head of Construction Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input to the Sales team regarding new project budgets and proposals, drawing on historical data from previous bids.
• Estimate manhours and material quantities for construction tasks during the proposal stage, collaborating with Project Controlling.
• Develop Work Requisitions during subcontracting bids, gathering technical documents from relevant departments and defining work packages alongside Project Managers and Designers.
• Handle technical queries from construction bidders, coordinating with technical teams to provide accurate responses.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations for construction works following company procedures, consolidating assessments from QA, HSE, planning, and engineering disciplines.
• Facilitate constructability reviews and construction method analyses, engaging necessary departments as needed.
• Participate in risk analysis meetings led by Project Managers/Designers to address construction-related concerns.
• Assist the Head of Construction in preparing and updating departmental procedures.
• Document and distribute lessons learned and best practices from site projects to relevant teams.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in construction management, preferably within large EP/EPC projects in industrial or engineering settings.
• Strong command of project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure project success.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Master’s degree in Engineering.

• Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
