ICRC Delegate

The International Committee of the Red Cross is seeking a Junior ICRC Delegate to deliver humanitarian aid in the field, focusing on needs assessment, protection activities, and building local networks in conflict-affected areas.

This position focuses on providing direct humanitarian assistance to individuals impacted by armed conflict and violence. The role operates within the ICRC's global mission to deliver neutral aid, requiring the delegate to engage in field operations, assess local needs, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure effective response efforts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate humanitarian requirements and coordinate with specialized teams to define priorities and plan activities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with civil society groups, NGOs, local authorities, and other relevant actors to foster trust and cooperation.
• Carry out field missions and protection tasks, such as visiting affected communities and detention centers, monitoring conditions, and implementing protection measures.
• Prepare accurate and timely internal reports to document activities and ensure accountability.
• Represent the ICRC's mandate and strengthen partnerships with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
• Contribute to staff safety and risk management strategies to safeguard operations.
