Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, is seeking an Intern for its IBEX MSAT team. This onsite role supports biopharmaceutical technology transfers and process validation within a dynamic, startup-like environment.
Positioned within the Ibex Solutions unit in Visp, this internship covers the full product lifecycle from preclinical phases to commercial production. The team operates with a high-energy, startup-like spirit that emphasizes mutual learning and technical precision through daily, in-person collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the transfer of biopharmaceutical processes to manufacturing.
- Provide scientific and technical guidance to ensure production processes are efficient and robust.
- Focus on cell culture and primary recovery (Harvest) processing activities.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to support operational goals.
- Help with process validation efforts.
- Support the management of deviations and change control procedures.
- Prepare documentation that complies with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a university student in engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate strong communication abilities.
- Possess proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio.
- Have fluent proficiency in English.
