RiSM Internship for students in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmaceutical Technology (Basel, 9-12 months)

A 9-12 month onsite internship in Basel supporting the Pharmaceutical & Solid State Development department, suitable for Master/Diploma thesis work.

This internship is positioned within the Pharma Technical Development team in Basel, Switzerland. The primary purpose is to assist the Pharmaceutical & Solid State Development department in advancing drug delivery technologies. The position is designed to accommodate students working on their Master or Diploma thesis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews relevant to the assigned project.
• Complete training on standard operating procedures and manufacturing or analytical equipment.
• Produce and analyze spray-dried amorphous solid dispersions.
• Create and evaluate solid dosage forms.
• Regularly update supervisors on project status and determine subsequent actions.
• Compile and submit a final project report.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in university or have graduated within the last 12 months before the start date.
• Major in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a closely related field.
• Work reliably and accurately within a non-GMP setting.
• Show a collaborative attitude and ability to make decisions.
• Demonstrate independence and a problem-solving approach.
• Possess strong skills in MS-Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Have professional proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the German language is advantageous.
