This 6-month internship is based entirely on-site in Basel Stücki, Switzerland, and focuses on in-person collaboration. The position exists to support the operational needs of Lonza's customers and its unit filling sites through dedicated forensic chemistry work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical studies utilizing forensic chemistry methods such as light microscopy, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopy.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all performed analyses.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or have recently graduated, from a university or technical college in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, biology, or a closely related discipline.
- Applicants currently holding a PhD or equivalent qualification are not eligible for this role.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, a genuine passion for science, and a keen interest in pharmaceutical research and development.
- Show flexibility, agility, and proactivity, with a strong willingness to learn and handle complex assignments while working effectively within a team.
- Pay close attention to detail, maintain high accuracy, and possess the ability to assess the plausibility of results.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in both spoken and written English.
