Solvias seeks a Mid-level Lab Technician for its ICP-MS lab in Switzerland to conduct elemental trace analysis, ensuring drug safety compliance through rigorous testing and method validation.
This position sits within the ICP-MS laboratory at Solvias, where the primary objective is to execute trace element determinations. The role supports clients in adhering to drug safety standards concerning elemental impurities across all stages of drug development and manufacturing release. The incumbent will manage diverse analytical tasks, including troubleshooting in varied contexts, performing product-specific validations, and conducting release testing while strictly maintaining GMP compliance.
Responsibilities
- Execute routine sample analysis using ICP-MS, including necessary preparation steps.
- Partner with scientific staff to develop new analytical methodologies.
- Independently carry out method verifications and validations.
- Handle non-standard analytical assignments and assist in resolving technical issues.
- Keep precise records in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Diagnose and fix problems related to ICP-MS instrumentation.
Requirements
- Completion of a lab technician apprenticeship or an equivalent qualification, preferably with a specialization in analytical chemistry.
- Fluency in both English and German, capable of effective written and verbal communication.
Nice to have
- Practical experience with atomic spectrometry techniques such as ICP-MS, ICP-OES, or AAS.
- Fundamental understanding of environments regulated by GMP or ISO standards.
