Analytical Technician (all genders)

Eurofins Electric & Electronic Product Testing AG seeks a Junior Analytical Technician in Schaffhausen to support large molecule process development and clinical testing within an international team.

This position serves as a versatile analytical support role within an international team based in Schaffhausen, acting as a subsidiary of Professional Scientific Services Switzerland. The primary focus involves hands-on assistance in large molecule process development and the testing of clinical materials.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct analytical support for large molecule process development and clinical material testing.
• Assisting with the fill and finish processes for drug products intended for clinical trials.
• Executing various analytical methods such as HPLC, bioassays, UV-spectrometry, and fluorescence detection.
• Contributing to the development of new analytical technologies.
• Helping implement process analytical technologies for online measurements.
• Managing sample handling, including reagent preparation and data entry into electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
• Collaborating with internal team members and external partners.
• Conducting independent data investigations and escalating deviations when necessary.
• Performing analyses under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines with compliant documentation.

Requirements

• An apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician (EFZ) in Biology or Chemistry, a Bachelor’s degree in Biotech, Biochemistry, or Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications.
• Strong communication abilities in both German and English.
• A careful and responsible approach to work.
• Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• High motivation, flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong commitment and enthusiasm for the role.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in R&D and GMP laboratory environments.
• Solid knowledge of regulated areas under GMP or ISO 17025 standards.
• Prior experience using Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN).
• Familiarity with automated liquid handling systems.
