This internship places you within the Basel legal department, reporting directly to the Associate General Counsel, Corporate. The position centers on corporate affairs, contract management, and the integration of AI technology tools to support legal operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the worldwide implementation of a Contract Life Cycle Management Tool.
- Help draft and standardize a comprehensive range of legal agreements.
- Provide legal support for M&A activities, transactions, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a legal resource for internal business units.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, Corporate.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or having completed a law degree.
- Familiarity with or practical experience in contract law (both civil and common law systems) and corporate issues.
- Ability to draft legal documents and communicate effectively in English.
Nice to have
- Strong interest in drafting contracts using plain English.
- Interest in M&A and corporate or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or other languages.
