The company seeks a Mid-level IT Audit specialist in Lugano to conduct risk-based audits on technology landscapes, security controls, and regulatory compliance within a Swiss banking environment.
This position places a technical expert within the internal audit function of a bank where technology drives the core business strategy and proprietary software development. The role focuses on evaluating IT risks, security measures, and adherence to FINMA regulations across complex, modern systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan, carry out, and document audits that address IT infrastructure, data protection, and information security risks.
- Evaluate the design and performance of internal controls in advanced environments, including cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and artificial intelligence.
- Help shape audit strategies by identifying priority areas and defining focus points for risk-based reviews.
- Modernize audit methods by incorporating data analytics and AI-powered tools to improve testing automation and overall assurance levels.
- Collaborate with business audit colleagues on integrated reviews and oversee co-sourced engagements with external vendors.
- Handle independent special projects and ad-hoc assignments directed by leadership.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ICT or a comparable field.
- Possess at least four years of technical experience in IT audit, security, risk management, or compliance within the Swiss financial sector.
- Demonstrate strong familiarity with audit frameworks like COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST, alongside a working knowledge of Swiss regulations or a strong desire to learn them.
- Communicate fluently and professionally in both Italian and English.
Nice to have
- Hold or be actively pursuing professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP.
- Possess German language proficiency.
- Have practical experience with data analytics platforms like Python, SQL, or Power BI, and the ability to apply AI-driven solutions to audit tasks, or show a strong interest in developing these skills.
