IT Auditor

Cornèr Bank is seeking a Mid-level IT Auditor in Lugano to lead risk-based audits across modern technology landscapes, leveraging data analytics and AI to evaluate IT risks and regulatory compliance.

This position serves as a key technical expert within the internal audit team, reporting directly to the Head of IT Audit. The role focuses on conducting comprehensive, risk-driven audits within a technology environment that emphasizes in-house development of proprietary banking solutions. The primary objective involves assessing IT risks, security controls, and adherence to FINMA regulations while pioneering future audit methodologies through the integration of advanced data analytics and agentic AI.

Responsibilities

• Design, carry out, and document risk-focused audits covering IT infrastructure, data privacy, and information security.
• Conduct detailed evaluations of IT processes, risks, and controls within a modern environment utilizing AI, cloud computing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal control systems.
• Provide IT and security expertise during the risk-based audit planning phase to identify key focus areas and strategic priorities.
• Modernize audit approaches by developing and integrating advanced techniques, including data analytics and AI-driven tools.
• Lead or support integrated audits with the business audit team and manage co-sourced audit engagements with external partners.
• Independently handle ad-hoc assignments and special projects as directed by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in ICT or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of four years of technical experience in IT Audit, IT Security, IT Risk Management, or IT Compliance within the Swiss financial sector.
• Extensive knowledge of IT audit methodologies and frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Solid grasp of the Swiss regulatory environment, or a strong willingness to quickly acquire this knowledge.
• Excellent command of both Italian and English, both verbal and written.
• Must maintain domicile in Switzerland.

• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP are highly valued, along with a commitment to obtaining one.
• German language proficiency is considered a valuable addition.
