Java Analyst / Developer

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Java Analyst/Developer in Luzern to bridge business and technology. This hybrid role requires strong Java skills, German C1, and full-stack capabilities.

This position serves as a critical interface between business operations and technical teams. The successful candidate will act primarily as a Java Developer while handling a diverse range of responsibilities that extend beyond pure coding.

Responsibilities

• Enhance existing Java software applications to expand their functional capabilities.
• Manage the complete application lifecycle, covering frontend, backend, database interactions, and middleware integration.
• Deliver Level 3 technical support to resolve complex business issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and produce necessary documentation.
• Oversee general application management tasks.

Requirements

• Proficiency in German at a C1 level, including the ability to draft technical documentation in the language.
• Proven, strong experience in Java development.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with business units.
• Capacity to assume ownership of tasks and adapt to various functional roles.

Nice to have

• Prior experience within the financial services sector.
