Baer AG seeks a Junior Compliance Specialist in Zürich to support the Employee Compliance Team. The role focuses on conduct framework oversight, data analysis, and reporting to uphold governance standards.
This position sits within the Employee Compliance Team under Central Compliance. The team manages the Conduct Framework, monitors governance effectiveness, and ensures high compliance standards across all operations.
Responsibilities
- Review files and verify documentation to support due diligence and conduct oversight, ensuring adherence to internal policies.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries using Excel and PowerPoint to communicate findings to compliance and business units.
- Analyze client and operational data to identify risks, trends, or areas requiring escalation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and support coordinated compliance initiatives.
- Maintain and improve standardized workflows, templates, and tracking tools for consistent processes.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes, compliance topics, and internal policy updates related to conduct risk.
- Propose ideas to enhance processes, controls, and working methods, including potential automation.
Requirements
- Degree in Banking, Financial Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Solid grasp of banking operations, preferably with experience in private banking, compliance, or audit.
- Advanced Excel skills for structuring, cleaning, and interpreting datasets.
- Strong PowerPoint abilities to create clear, visually engaging slides and summaries from complex data.
- Excellent organizational skills, precision, and attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive attitude, thriving in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Quick learner with initiative, eager to grow within a purpose-driven compliance function.
- Fluent English proficiency (written and spoken).
Nice to have
- Legal education or qualification.
- Experience in reporting, process coordination, or compliance support roles.
- Knowledge of German and other languages.
